Privacy for the AddMihi beta
AddMihi is designed so a person can ask for something without handing their identity to a set of businesses. This page describes the beta as it operates today; it is not a claim of legal certification.
What we hold
We hold account email, password hash, your wants, category blocks and snoozes, business offers and business contact details. We also keep sessions, consent records, moderation audit entries, reports, offer-contact events, feedback and technical error logs. We do not use advertising pixels, behavioural advertising or third-party customer lists.
Who sees what
Businesses cannot browse individual wants or customer identities. They see masked aggregate potential demand for their offers: groups under five display as “Fewer than 5”. These counts exclude people who blocked the business or offer and people whose category is snoozed. You choose whether to reveal a business contact method.
Retention and deletion
Settings lets you export your personal records and delete your account. Deletion revokes sessions and removes your account, wants, blocks, snoozes and consent records. Report and offer-contact events are retained without your account identifier to support moderation and aggregate service measurements. Operational backups may retain a previous copy for up to 30 days before expiry; they are not used to restore a deleted account except during a documented disaster recovery event.
Security and contact
Verification and password-reset links are time-limited and stored as hashes. We use one essential session cookie to keep you signed in. You can download your data or delete your account, and use beta feedback for privacy questions until the support contact is published.
